Heya <<First Name>>,
This week in our current story, “Jack Jenk Shouts Love,” Jack does something that makes him feel half-idiotic and half-amazing.
Something that attracts a lot of attention — the kind he doesn’t want.
Read this week’s installment.
Quentin’s back home
We had a great road trip.
(By the way, if you haven’t met Quentin yet, check out our new Quentin page.)
“Magical adventurous stories”
A member of our Read-Aloud Rec Room Facebook group recently asked for recommendations for “a kid who loves magical adventurous stories.”
The suggestions from other readers were so great, I created a new section on our Read-Aloud Recs page.
For one mom, poetry was the breakthrough
Debbie (who gave me permission to share her story), wrote to say that her daughter could never quite catch the reading bug: “She was always fidgeting and distracted and I don’t think we ever finished any one book.”
Then Debbie tried poetry.
“I would recite poems to her, you know when you’re doing something and a random thought will pop into your head and trigger a poem or a song, I think that is where her journey with books really began.”
I was inspired, so I added a poetry section to our Read-Aloud Recs page.
Happy reading,
