Heya <<First Name>>,
I hope you had a really nice week.
We did, all things considered. It was full of books, food, safe family time, and all kinds of messy blessings.
Plus, we were busy! We’ve got three books scheduled for publication in the coming weeks, and we can’t wait to tell you when they’re ready. For now, you can read complete versions of the first two free online: “How Foxes Got Their Meander” and “Messy Blessings.”
There’s a third book we’ll be releasing shortly. To be honest, I don’t know what to think of it.
But it makes me happy.
It’s called “Word Things.” The inspiration was when I took a train to Portland, OR, one time and we were passed by a train coming the other way.
“Hmm,” I thought. “Trains passing.” (Brilliant, right?) Then, since I can’t draw, I wrote in my Moleskine:
TRAINSPASSING GNISSAPSNIART
After that, I started looking around at all the ideas or objects you could represent with simple text alterations.
Flash forward two years and voila: “Word Things”!
Most are in black-and-white …
Some are in color …
One thing I do know, is that they look good on shirts! (See below.)
You can get them via our Teespring site. And, (cough, cough) … they make great holiday gifts. But do you know what makes the best gifts?
Books make the BEST gifts
When you’re shopping this year, toss in one of our stories. Nothing’s better than reading aloud with a kid.
Except a quokka.

Talk to you soon!
Happy reading,
